DR. ANDREA DOEDEN-
I was born in Japan. In 5th grade, I decided to be a medical missionary and was a neurotic child who focused and went right through schools
until I was a board certified OB/GYN. :-) I got a little off track from my original 'goal' when I got married in med school so it wasn't until I had been
in private practice for a while that I began to do short term mission trips. I've been to Mexico, southern Bangladesh and West Tanzania. I
go to do women’s health care missions every 2-3 years and our next trip is scheduled for May 2014.
I graduated from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa 1985-1989 and from University of Minnesota Medical School 1989-1993. I also attended St Paul School of Theology and Pacific Lutheran School of Theology. I completed my OB/GYN residency at University of Oklahoma 1993-1997.
I have been in private practice OB/GYN 1997-2011. In 2011 I moved to Trinidad and began practicing gynecology at MSRH. In 2012, I became the
Pastor at Zion's Lutheran Church. In 1999, I married Dr. Paul Tennery and I am now step mom to 9 kiddos!
Additionally, I love life! My passions are the outdoors, animals, reading, cooking, gardening and travel and most importantly my family and faith!
